Bernard Marly and Athos Bassissi

Artists, Concert Performers, Composers (Accordion, Accordina, Bandoneon)

Bernard Marly and Athos Bassissi—two virtuoso artists and stars of the accordion and accordina—have enjoyed long, rich, and unique international careers, performing and recording alongside numerous French and Italian musical artists.

With the agreement and collaboration of Joseph Carrel—the Charente-Maritime-based creator and manufacturer of Accordinas—Bernard Marly and Athos Bassissi have joined forces to perform and record using Joseph Carrel instruments.

Mr. Joseph Carrel, we are proud to play your instrument, which is now recognized worldwide.

For several years, Bernard Marly has been planning a duet album with his friend Athos Bassissi—a project in which "the accordina takes center stage."

This project is expected to launch in 2026; we would be delighted for the public to discover these melodies and take an interest in this extraordinary instrument.

Bernard Marly and Athos Bassissi have poured all their instrumental talent into the track "Un Instant d’Éternité" (A Moment of Eternity), under the artistic direction of their friend Massimo Tagliata—an accompanist, composer, and arranger.

Here, the purity and beauty of the melody blend in perfect harmony; artistically, one must sometimes know how to go against the grain of "mainstream" trends.

For them, the passage of time does not erase the beauty of melodies; instead, it allows our two virtuosos to interpret, share, captivate, and charm audiences through the Accordina—creating a timeless musical universe.
